Reliability Engineer | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allendale that are seeking skilled Reliability Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize maintenance procedures and schedules to improve asset reliability.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential failure modes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate reliability principles into new equipment design and existing systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and best practices for reliability improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focused on reliability engineering.
  • Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with predictive and preventative maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles and lifecycle costing.
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems for tracking maintenance activities and asset performance.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) certification.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies like Apollo RCA, FMEA, or 5-Why.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, R, Python) for reliability data.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
  • Experience in leading or participating in cross-functional improvement projects.
