Our client is seeking a Desktop Engineer. In this role, the Desktop Engineer will be responsible for the management, deployment, and ongoing support of endpoint systems and related infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient technology operations across the firm. The Desktop Engineer will oversee SCCM and Intune environments, manage operating systems, applications, imaging and packaging, administer Microsoft Teams and phone line carrier services, manage Group Policy, and coordinate end user hardware procurement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding client service. This is an in-person position supporting all offices.

Intune is set up in the environment, but is not currently utilized but would be a plus if a candidate has this

Currently working on setting up a new SCCM server that will likely be up and running when this person starts

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages and administers Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune, including configuration, policy creation, compliance monitoring, and ongoing platform maintenance to ensure all endpoints are secure and up to date.
Creates, manages, and troubleshoots Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings, configurations, and standards across all firm endpoints.
Develops, tests, and deploys operating system images and software packages, ensuring standardized and efficient provisioning of new and existing devices.
Administers and supports Microsoft Teams, including user configuration, troubleshooting, and management of telephony integrations with phone line carriers.
Manages end user hardware lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, refresh, and decommissioning, while maintaining an accurate inventory of all technology assets.
Coordinates with hardware and software vendors to arrange support services, manage warranty claims, and ensure timely delivery of equipment and replacement parts.
Plans, tests, and deploys Microsoft operating system and Office updates, upgrades, and configuration changes across the firm, communicating relevant changes to end users and technology staff.
Develops and maintains documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures, and deployment workflows.
Exercises sound professional judgment in resolving complex endpoint and systems issues, escalating to the appropriate support tier or vendor when necessary.
Manages multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to firm operations.
Provides after-hours support to technology users throughout the firm by participating in an on-call rotation as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft SCCM and/or Microsoft Intune in an enterprise environment is required. Demonstrated experience with operating system imaging, software packaging, and automated deployment tools is required. Experience administering Microsoft Teams, including telephony and voice integration with carrier services. Experience managing Active Directory Group Policy in an enterprise environment. Experience working with hardware vendors and managing end user hardware lifecycle in a professional service or law firm environment.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of four (4) years of work experience in endpoint engineering, systems administration, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are preferred.
Experience:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr.
