Summary

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior IT Security Specialist to protect and support the organization s technology environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture while also providing network and end-user support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity (Primary)
Monitor and respond to security threats, alerts, and incidents
Administer security tools (endpoint protection, firewalls, MFA, identity access)
Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation efforts
Support incident response, investigations, and documentation
Maintain security policies, standards, and compliance requirements
Manage user access and enforce security best practices
Deliver security awareness and training initiatives

Network & Infrastructure (Secondary)
Support network operations including switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
Assist with VLANs, segmentation, and secure network design
Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
Support infrastructure upgrades and maintain documentation

End-User Support (Secondary)
Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for escalated issues
Support laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications
Assist with onboarding/offboarding and access provisioning
Participate in on-call rotation
Participation in on-call rotation for critical incidents

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and commitment to security best practices

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3 5+ years of experience in IT security, networking, or systems support
Experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls) and Microsoft environments (M365, Azure AD)
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, wireless)
Relevant certifications preferred (Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCNA)
