Job Description:
The Jira Reporting & Program Coordination Specialist is responsible for designing and maintaining enterprise-level reporting across large, complex programs spanning 100+ teams. This role blends advanced Jira expertise, automation design, and cross-team coordination to ensure accurate visibility into program health, delivery progress, and alignment with Program Increment (PI) objectives.
The position works closely with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Owners (POs), and Technology Managers to drive prioritization, reporting standards, and transparency across both executive and operational audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Jira Reporting & Insights: Design and build scalable Jira dashboards and reports supporting a large, multi-team program (100+ teams)
Provide both:
- Executive-level views (high-level progress, risks, milestones)
- Operational views (team-level execution, dependencies, blockers)
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting outputs
- Continuously improve reporting structures based on stakeholder feedback
Automation & Documentation
- Develop and maintain Jira automations to streamline workflows, reporting updates, and data quality
- Create clear, maintainable documentation explaining:
- Automation logic
- Data flows
- Usage standards and governance
- Partner with teams to promote adoption of best practices
Program Coordination & PI Alignment

- Collaborate with RTEs, Senior Product Owners, and Technology Managers to:
- Ensure work is prioritized into the correct Program Increments (PIs)
- Align delivery plans with overall project timelines and milestones
- Track cross-team dependencies and highlight risks or misalignment
- Support program-level planning and execution cycles
Cross-Tool Integration & Reporting
- Leverage complementary tools to enhance reporting and insights, including:
- ServiceNow (e.g., intake, incidents, or requests)
- Power BI (advanced analytics and visualization)
- Integrate or align data across platforms where appropriate
Presentation & Executive Communication (Secondary)
- Translate reporting outputs into clear, concise PowerPoint materials for executive reviews
- Highlight key insights, trends, and risks in a business-friendly format
- Support leadership discussions with data-driven storytelling
