Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: 6-9 months (with potential extension)
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Pega Developer / Configurator to help design, build, and scale workflow automation solutions. In this role, you'll work across both App Studio and Dev Studio to configure and enhance enterprise applications that support operational efficiency and digital transformation.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable workflow solutions in a governed enterprise environment.
What You'll Do
  • Design, configure, and maintain Pega-based applications using App Studio and Dev Studio
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
  • Build and configure case types, workflows, data models, UI components, and decisioning logic
  • Support application testing, defect resolution, and release cycles
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations) to deliver business-ready solutions
  • Contribute to workflow optimization, automation initiatives, and platform scalability
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, governance, and change management processes
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software delivery, including hands-on Pega development/configuration
  • Experience working with Pega App Studio and Dev Studio
  • Strong experience designing:
    • Case management workflows
    • Data models
    • Business rules and logic
    • User interfaces
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and supporting testing cycles in enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pega certifications (e.g., Certified System Architect (CSA) or Senior System Architect (CSSA))
  • Experience in financial services, operations, or workflow automation
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, reporting, and enterprise data governance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Work Environment
  • Hybrid work model (Charlotte preferred; other approved hub locations may be considered)
  • Standard business hours with flexibility to support key project milestones and releases
  • Collaborative, cross-functional team environment

  • Prior financial services experience is helpful but not required
