Description
We are looking for a skilled IT Support specialist to provide comprehensive assistance and management of IT systems and business applications for a financial institution. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, maintaining software and hardware, and ensuring systems comply with industry standards. This is a long-term contract position based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, offering the opportunity to support critical IT functions and contribute to the organization's efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Deliver daily technical support to staff, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Assist in managing and maintaining business applications, including loan management systems and vendor databases.
Monitor and ensure compliance with data security protocols and financial regulations.
Collaborate with management to optimize the use of IT systems and applications.
Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot application issues and ensure timely data transfers.
Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices in collaboration with the leadership team.
Lead small-scale technology projects, such as software installations, system integrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
Oversee training initiatives to enhance staff proficiency in IT tools and cybersecurity awareness.
Manage user access, permissions, and security protocols, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
Maintain IT equipment inventory and ensure regular system updates and backups.
Requirements
Solid understanding of personal computers, printers, scanners, networks, VPNs, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
Proficiency in managing Microsoft applications, including Windows, Outlook, Office 365, and Adobe Acrobat.
Familiarity with consumer finance applications is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Windows 10.
Knowledge of service desk ticketing systems and basic troubleshooting techniques.
