Duration: 1.5 year contract w/ potential to extend or convert

Location: Remote

Pay: $90-$130/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade solutions on the Palantir Foundry and AIP platforms. In this role, you will partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate complex operational needs into scalable, secure, and intelligent data products. You will work across the full lifecycle-from data ingestion and ontology design to AI-enabled applications and decision automation-while ensuring solutions meet enterprise standards for governance, performance, and reliability. This role requires hands-on experience working directly inside Palantir Foundry and a deep understanding of how to build operationally impactful solutions within the Palantir ecosystem.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end Palantir Foundry solutions, from raw data ingestion through production-ready operational applications
• Develop and manage Palantir Ontologies, modeling real-world entities, relationships, and workflows using object types, links, and properties
• Build, optimize, and monitor data pipelines using:
  • Foundry Pipeline Builder
  • Code Repositories and Code Workbooks
  • Python, SQL, and PySpark
• Implement AI-enabled and decision-support use cases leveraging Palantir AIP, including:
  • Agent-based and event-driven workflows
  • Secure LLM-assisted decisioning
  • AI-driven automation integrated with operational systems
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate ambiguous business and operational requirements into robust, Palantir-native architectures
• Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise standards for:
  • Security, permissions, and access control
  • Data governance, lineage, and auditability
  • Performance, scalability, and system reliability
• Support deployment, optimization, and the continuous evolution of Foundry and AIP capabilities in production environments
• Provide technical guidance, best practices, and knowledge transfer to internal teams operating within the Palantir ecosystem

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working directly inside Palantir Foundry in a production environment
• Experience with Palantir AIP, including:
  • Agent-based workflows
  • Secure LLM integrations
  • AI-assisted decision and process automation
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
  • PySpark experience strongly preferred
• Proven experience operating in complex enterprise environments with multiple data sources, systems, and stakeholders
• Ability to decompose ambiguous or loosely defined business problems into structured, scalable Palantir solutions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
