Job Description:
Technical Product Owner

Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid)

Length: 12+ Month W2 Contract

Hours: M-F 8-5 (1 or 2 days max onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead product execution for scrum teams within the data platform pillar. This role serves as the primary interface between stakeholders and development teams. The position requires stakeholder management, the ability to drive clarity from ambiguity, and disciplined execution across complex epics in a cloud-native AWS environment. This role will focus on data platforms and services, including storage, ingest pipelines, and data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary product liaison to stakeholders, managing ongoing communication across multiple concurrent priorities and initiatives.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder conversations to reconcile competing priorities, evolving requirements, and release constraints.
  • Proactively identify gaps between documented specifications and requested functionality, and drive alignment before development begins.
  • Negotiate release scope with stakeholders, ensuring realistic commitments aligned with engineering capacity and delivery timelines.
  • Own the product roadmap and backlog for assigned products, translating high-level epics into clearly defined, executable epics and user stories.
  • Lead quarterly planning cycles in collaboration with stakeholders and engineering leadership.
  • Partner with technical delivery leads to align scope, conduct release planning, and track execution progress.
  • Ensure internal documentation is complete, accurate, and reflects current functionality before code transfer.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Business Analyst in a software or SaaS environment. Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, particularly in matrixed or global organizations, and experience delivering data solutions.

Technical Skills: AWS platform experience (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Kinesis or equivalent). Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and SaaS delivery models. Experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, and diagramming tools (Lucidchart / Visio).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with global stakeholders, particularly Japanese counterparts.
  • Prior development or DevOps experience.
  • Experience in connected vehicle, mobility, or telematics platforms.
Work Environment

This position is based in Plano, Texas. This is a hybrid role, with an onsite requirement of at least one day per week, and potentially more during planning sessions. The role may require attending meetings in the evening approximately two to three days per sprint to collaborate with global teams.
