Senior Network Engineer – Cybersecurity Projects (Contract, Remote Option)

Overview:
We are seeking two experienced Senior Network Engineers to support major cybersecurity infrastructure projects, including firewall replacement initiatives across data centers and remote locations. These roles focus on hands-on network engineering, routing, and firewall deployment rather than policy management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute Palo Alto firewall replacement projects across multiple environments.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot complex network routing (BGP primarily).
- Support both Juniper and Cisco network environments.
- Utilize Panorama for centralized firewall management and configuration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, stable network operations during migration and upgrades.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
- Strong expertise in routing protocols, especially BGP.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
- Working experience with Juniper and/or Cisco network equipment (cross-training support available).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices as they relate to infrastructure.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Additional Details:
- No Prisma or VPN-related duties.
- One-step interview process (technical/manager combined).
- Candidates should be available to interview next week.
The compensation range for this position is $40 to $45/hr W2
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
