Travel Cable Technician

Job Description

We are seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in Ames, Des Moines, IA, and surrounding states. Some travel is required, and per diem is provided for travel assignments.
Candidates should have at least 6 months of low-voltage experience; however, individuals with relevant hands-on technical training or schooling will also be considered.
Technicians will install data racks and cabinets, Cat5/Cat6 cabling, coax cable, and faceplates, as well as perform testing and labeling. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the setup of DirecTV cable boxes, modems, wireless access points, and satellite dishes for individual rooms, and supporting the build-out of server closets for network installations.
Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors at school and apartment building sites. Occasional tasks may include trenching and directional drilling. Technicians will work under the guidance of project leads.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
