Job Description

We are seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst with at least 5+ years of IT experience.

Required:

• Experience in the Refinery, Oil & Gas, or Energy industry.
• Exposure to Microsoft technology stack projects, preferably involving Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint). Hands-on development experience is not required, but prior project involvement is highly desirable.

Summary

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and technical understanding to support the successful delivery of low-code digital solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This individual will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into high-quality Agile user stories while ensuring solutions deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business problems, opportunities, and desired outcomes.
• Analyze requirements and document them as actionable Agile user stories with clear acceptance criteria and business value.
• Communicate requirements effectively to development and offshore teams, providing clarification and resolving questions.
• Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend approaches that balance speed, complexity, and scalability within a low-code ecosystem.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate that solutions meet business requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities.
• Work within enterprise governance, audit, and documentation standards.
• Drive stakeholder alignment by facilitating discussions and managing tradeoffs.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assigned initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience gathering and documenting both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience supporting testing and validation activities, including UAT.
• Experience working with the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint).
• Data modeling experience with an understanding of entity relationships and scalability considerations.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, including incident, change, problem management, and SDLC processes.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and drive clarity.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a SAFe Agile environment.
• Experience in oil refining or industrial operations.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and change management processes.
• Understanding of Power Platform governance, environments, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices.
