We are seeking a Senior Desktop Systems Engineer to be accountable for the design and build of Office M365 endpoint clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Office Professional Plus client's design, build process, packaging methodology, deployment, and update mechanisms. This role requires extensive technical capabilities and the ability to work within a team of senior technical professionals in a high-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer the M365 Applications and additional Office products, including all components necessary for long-term implementation.
- Develop technical documentation for application packaging, focusing on both on-premise and cloud implementation solutions.
- Partner with internal teams to develop a sustainable patching methodology.
- Develop a build strategy and technical documentation for managing 'ring' release processes for the Office Professional Plus client.
- Ensure designs adhere to all compliance and security requirements.
- Develop and implement a strategy to accommodate for macros, add-ins, and other components.
- Take a leadership role in shaping service design direction.
- Partner with and mentor other engineers and consultants to share knowledge and experience.
- Work with service and product managers to identify and document service requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in financial or other highly regulated industries.
- 5+ years of extensive experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 client on-premise and cloud technologies.
- Experience implementing services for large enterprises and 'Click to Run' capabilities across M365 Applications.

- Flexera Admin Studio with Wise scripting
- VBS & PowerShell
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Microsoft Intune
- Omnissa/VMWare hosted Virtual Desktop environments
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or experience in a technology-related field.
- ITIL Certification.
- Experience with Agile practices.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $70.24 per hour.
