Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining complex applications within the Financial Crimes technology domain. The ideal candidate will leverage in-depth knowledge of business requirements and a wide range of technologies, including Teradata, Hadoop, and Informatica, to design, code, test, and support critical systems. This position involves close collaboration with business partners, production support, and platform teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities: - Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify, and/or maintain applications to accomplish business goals
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, and provide support for application maintenance
- Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications
- Contribute to story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work for delivery
- Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Handle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades
- Perform data sourcing, data analysis, and modeling to build innovative data provisioning models for large-scale financial crimes initiatives
- Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation
Requirements: - Typically requires 10+ years of applicable experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
- Experience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica 10.x
- Experience with Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala) and Data analysis
- Strong data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning skills for large scale AML monitoring and surveillance data assets
- Knowledge and experience with SQL performance tuning, data migrations, and conversions
- Experience with SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
- Good knowledge of UNIX and development of shell scripts is required
- Effective communication and listening skills
Desired skills: - Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
