Position: Software Engineer 4 - Contingent
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. This role involves reviewing and analyzing multi-faceted, larger-scale challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements. The position will contribute to resolving complex situations while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities: - Design and build scalable data private cloud platforms leveraging Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Configure and integrate platform components, including compute, storage, and networking layers.
- Support environment buildout for enterprise data center migration, including foundational infrastructure setup.
- Enable onboarding of tenant applications by defining access models and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful platform adoption.
- Design and implement observability frameworks, including monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
- Develop automation solutions for platform provisioning and operations.
- Implement and maintain security and compliance controls aligned with enterprise policies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support delivery and requirements definition.
- Accelerate deliverables across platform buildout and tenant enablement based on capacity needs.
Qualifications: - 5 years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, preferably OpenShift.
- Strong Linux experience.
- Experience building and configuring enterprise platforms from the ground up.
- Experience designing and implementing observability solutions across platforms.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, BigPanda, PagerDuty, or ThousandEyes.
- Experience with automation tools, including Terraform and Helm.
- Experience with GitOps practices, preferably Argo CD.
- Experience using ServiceNow.
Preferred Experience: - Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift ingress and egress control, including secure north-south traffic patterns.
- Load balancing and traffic routing for internal and external services with high availability.
- Network segmentation and isolation across tenants, namespaces, and environments in multi-tenant platforms.
- Kubernetes/OpenShift Network Policies, including default deny and least privilege communication controls.

Pay Range: $60 - $65 /hr on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
