Summary

Role: Xstore L3 Production Support SME

Location: Toronto, ON-Canada | Remote role

Duration: Long Term Contract

 

Shift Preference:

  • Candidate must be flexible to support UK time zone (based on project needed)
  • Must be flexible to support Weekdays (offshore hours) and Weekend on call


Role Summary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience: 8–12+ Years | 5+ Years Xstore
  • Xstore Version: v21 or above (mandatory)

L3 Production Support

  • Own & resolve complex L3 Xstore incidents across EU clients
  • Lead RCA investigations; present findings to customer leadership
  • Drive permanent fixes to eliminate recurring issues
  • Manage escalations; final tech point before Oracle SR

Customer & Team

  • Primary technical contact for European retail accounts
  • Present solutions, RCAs & config change proposals to stakeholders
  • Lead & mentor L3 Xstore support engineering team
  • Own technical sign-off for Xstore production config changes (CAB)

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • L3 Production Support

Core Technical Hands-On Skills

  • SQL – complex queries for diagnosis & PosLog analysis
  • Log analysis – correlate Xstore/EFTLink/OROB logs to RCA
  • Deployment & patching – Xenvironment rollout, upgrades
  • XML/property config files & environment-level overrides       
  • Java diagnostics – stack traces, thread dumps, logs
  • POS hardware – terminals, fiscal devices, PIN pads, printers
  • OS-level (Linux/Windows) – process, network, service mgmt
  • Promotions, loyalty, PosLog, sales & return flows
