responsibilities:

Formulate and govern enterprise Linux platform roadmaps, optimizing configuration consistency and lifecycle management across Red Hat and Oracle Linux ecosystems.


Architect and scale enterprise storage and data protection environments, overseeing SAN, NAS, software-defined platforms, and backup utilities like Commvault or Veeam.


Drive automated delivery pipelines across data centers and public cloud spaces (primarily Azure) utilizing Ansible and advanced IaC principles.


Partner cross-functionally with data center, network, database, and application teams to translate complex infrastructure concepts into actionable business guidance.


Mentor and upskill career-level system engineers on the team, filling critical technical gaps and championing documentation best practices.


Serve as the ultimate tier-three escalation point for complex, hybrid-cloud platform anomalies, establishing long-term remediation strategies.


Interface with operations teams to align infrastructure capabilities with logistics, terminals, and contract supply chain business demands.




qualifications:

Must-Haves


7+ years of progressive, enterprise-level infrastructure engineering and administration experience.


Deep technical mastery of Red Hat and Oracle Linux environments, including enterprise workloads and RAC configurations.


Demonstrated hands-on engineering experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) alongside virtualization hypervisors (VMware, OVM).


Solid background designing and supporting complex storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS, SDS) and enterprise backup architectures.


Proven proficiency with infrastructure automation tools, specifically Ansible, to maintain configuration standards.


Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.


Career history reflecting technical ownership, accountability, and stability (no patterns of short-term job-hopping).


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).


Nice-to-Haves


Practical exposure to composable infrastructure architectures, specifically using HPE Synergy.


Functional familiarity or technical background supporting logistics, terminal operations, or maritime supply chain ecosystems.
