We are seeking a Software Asset Management expert with significant experience reconciling top tier publishers within the ServiceNow SAM Pro module. This individual must be comfortable working with legal and financial data such as contracts, POs, and Invoices to create software entitlement records within ServiceNow. The ability to troubleshoot issues with ServiceNow Discovery (CMDB) and/or alternative software discovery integrations (e.g. Tanium), as it relates to software reconciliation results, is a big plus. Must also be comfortable creating manual Effective License Position reports as needed. Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders while working on large projects with high organizational impact and visibility is required.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert in Software Asset Management
- Familiarity with top tier software licensing terms and conditions
- Ability to deconstruct software licensing contracts into actionable license reconciliation rules
- Self organized
- ServiceNow SAM Pro experience
- Fundamental Hardware Asset Management experience
- Fundamental Configuration Management experience
- ITIL foundations a plus
- Ability to analyze large data sets related to software installations, computer/server configurations, and license reconciliation
- Develop metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support the Software Asset Management function
- Develop and maintain complex operational processes with supporting documentation
- Familiarity with industry regulations a plus
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with cross functional teams
- Ability to solve complex technical issues and enable/teach peers to be self sufficient.
- Establish and maintain best practices.
- Break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable ones, and help others to do the same.
- Understand what tools are available and useful for your domain, how they work, and the sorts of situations and problems for which they're useful.
