Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Equipment Finance domain expertise to support business transformation and technology initiatives within leasing and equipment finance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in gathering requirements, working with stakeholders, and supporting system implementations related to equipment leasing, loan servicing, and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
Translate business requirements into detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
Analyze current equipment finance workflows including:
Origination and underwriting
Credit evaluation
Lease/loan booking
Asset lifecycle management
Billing and payment processing
Collections and servicing
Support implementation and enhancement of equipment finance systems.
Perform gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
Coordinate with development, QA, and UAT teams to ensure successful delivery.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement review sessions.
Assist in data mapping, reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Support system integration efforts between finance platforms and downstream systems.
Participate in UAT testing and production rollout activities.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
Strong domain knowledge in Equipment Finance / Equipment Leasing.
Experience with:
Lease and loan management systems
Credit underwriting processes
Billing and servicing platforms
Proficiency in creating:
BRD, FRD, Use Cases, User Stories
Process flow diagrams (Visio or similar tools)
Strong understanding of financial products including:
Operating leases
Finance leases
Loans and structured finance
Experience working in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with equipment finance platforms such as:
Odessa
InfoLease
Solifi
FIS Asset Finance
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
SQL or data analysis experience.
Exposure to system integrations and API-based platforms.
Nice to Have:
Experience with digital transformation initiatives in financial services.
Knowledge of accounting standards (ASC 842 / IFRS 16).
PMP, CBAP, or Agile certification.
