Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation activities on utility-scale solar construction projects. The ideal candidate will supervise field electrical work, ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications, maintain quality standards, and coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe project execution, electrical system commissioning, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor electrical installation activities at solar construction sites.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Ensure electrical work is completed according to project scope, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, engineering, and operations teams.
• Perform field inspections to verify proper installation of electrical equipment and systems.
• Track project progress and provide daily/weekly/monthly reports on schedule, quality, and safety.
• Manage and facilitate the Request for Information (RFI) process with engineering teams.
• Support field commissioning and system turnover activities.
• Validate installation documentation and project completion records.
• Upload and manage quality control documentation and installation photos using project management tools (e.g., Unifier).
• Ensure strict adherence to site safety standards and policies.

Required Skills

• Experience supervising electrical construction or energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems used in solar power plants.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and fiber optic communication.
• Experience with electrical testing methods including:
• Insulation Resistance (IR/IE)
• Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR)
• Very Low Frequency (VLF)
• Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR)
• Fall of Potential Testing
• Voltage Open Circuit (VOC)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience supervising electrical installation work in construction or renewable energy projects.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and site teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in utility-scale solar projects.
• Familiarity with Unifier or similar project documentation tools.
• Background in electrical commissioning and testing.
• Electrical certification or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
