Job Summary:
This role will involve hands on work with Cisco Meraki solutions, Palo Alto, cloud based servers, working with and supporting third party vendors, and more. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in routing, switching, and troubleshooting within Cisco network environments. Cisco certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, support, and troubleshoot network and system engineering in a multi vendor enterprise network with Cisco Meraki.
Support Palo Alto networks, cloud based servers, VMware, and storage.
Conduct network analysis, bandwidth capacity planning, and performance planning of networking components, including network traffic optimization for overall infrastructure.
Create and maintain documentation, including runbooks and workbooks, ensuring accurate reflection of the current state of network infrastructure and environment.
Coordinate with network and business application administrators, desktop support, and project management to ensure reliability, availability, and stability of network and network resources.
Respond to new requests and resolve technical issues encompassing hardware, software, and networking within established SLAs to provide technical assistance and support and to ensure service availability.
Conduct routine network performance assessments and optimizations.
Collaborate with internal IT professionals and external technology vendors and integration partners to ensure network stability and performance.
Assist with network upgrades and migrations as needed.

Qualifications:

5 to 7+ years of experience in a Cisco engineering role, including performing architecture and design of heterogenous IT environments, alongside experience in the following areas:
Experience with Cisco Meraki networking products.
Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment.
Experience with network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally Cisco IOS).
Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
Integration of cloud technologies with onsite network infrastructure (e.g., AWS and Azure).
Ability to diagnose and resolve network hardware and software problems associated with data center infrastructure.
Experience documenting network designs.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Cisco certification such as CCNP preferred.
Other vendor certifications a plus but not required.
Experience with network security practices and solutions.
Familiarity with additional network management tools and platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have reliable transportation.
