Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced L3 Cisco Network Engineer to support a complex, multi-vendor enterprise environment. This role is hands-on and will focus on designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Cisco Meraki (wireless) and Palo Alto firewalls.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in network engineering, along with the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and external vendors to ensure network stability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure within a multi-vendor enterprise environment, with a focus on Cisco Meraki
Configure and support Palo Alto firewall environments, as well as cloud-based systems and infrastructure
Perform network analysis, bandwidth capacity planning, and performance optimization across network components
Monitor, diagnose, and resolve network issues across hardware, software, and connectivity layers within defined SLAs
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, runbooks, and system configurations
Collaborate with network administrators, application teams, desktop support, and project management to ensure high availability and reliability
Conduct routine performance assessments and implement improvements to optimize network efficiency
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to maintain system stability and resolve issues
Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements as needed

Qualifications
5-7+ years of experience in a Cisco network engineering role, including design and support of enterprise environments
Strong experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions (required)
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
Solid understanding of routing, switching, and network architecture
Experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices (Cisco IOS preferred)
Experience integrating cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with on-premise infrastructure
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues within data center environments
Experience creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP)
Experience with additional vendor technologies and network security practices
Exposure to virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and storage systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
