Position: Structural Engineer

Location: Melbourne, FL

Role & Responsibilities

Perform static, dynamic, and damage tolerance (DaDT) structural analyses for airframe structures, mechanical systems, and associated equipment using both hand calculations and approved automated tools

Develop and analyze non-flight applied loads, and generate, extract, and distribute internal loads using established simulation tools and methodologies

Utilize engineering software applications such as FEMAP, NX, and Teamcenter to support analysis and design validation activities

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables

Manage multiple priorities effectively, adapting to changing project requirements while maintaining high-quality standards

Analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative and efficient solutions

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field with 10+ years of experience in aerospace structural analysis; OR

Master's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR

Ph.D. in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with metallic and composite airframe structures

Strong proficiency in finite element modeling and structural analysis tools such as FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter, or similar platforms

Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems and deliver practical, high-quality solutions

Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams within aerospace or related industries
