Vaco is hiring a Business Analyst for a highly respected and established organization located in downtown Cincinnati, OH.
This role is 100% onsite in downtown Cincinnati (45202).
Candidates with a stable employment history and meaningful tenure in previous roles are strongly preferred.
The Business Analyst will play a key role in partnering with business and technology teams to deliver impactful solutions across critical enterprise programs and initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and program leadership to gather requirements, support solution delivery, and ensure business objectives are met.
Position Overview
The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements for multiple ongoing initiatives. This position requires a strong blend of analytical, documentation, communication, and testing skills to support successful project delivery.
Work is primarily managed using Agile methodologies, with elements of Waterfall incorporated during requirements gathering and documentation phases. Multiple solution releases are planned throughout 2026, making this an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys working in a fast-paced, iterative delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document current-state ("as-is") and future-state ("to-be") business requirements
- Create and maintain detailed functional and non-functional requirements documentation
- Develop user stories and support Agile sprint planning activities
- Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and project discussions
- Create mockups for customer-facing forms, letters, and business documents
- Map document variables and fields to incoming data sources
- Conduct validation testing to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality expectations
- Research issues, analyze defects, and support remediation efforts
- Collaborate closely with business partners, developers, testers, and project leadership

Required Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of professional experience working as a Business Analyst
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements in Agile environments
- Strong experience creating user stories and supporting sprint-based development teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to facilitate meetings and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and transparency
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand system integrations, data flows, and technical concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using requirements management tools such as Modern Requirements, Top Team, RAP, or similar platforms
- Experience with document, form, or correspondence design
- Ability to read and understand code or pseudocode
- Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required
