Position: Network/Computer Technician

Responsibilities:
The Network/Computer Technician will plan, coordinate, and direct research and facilitate the computer-related activities of the location. They will help determine both technical and business goals in consultation with senior management and the Corporate IT teams and make detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals.
Desktop Support
Installs, configures, and supports all workstation operating systems (Windows 10).
Supports legacy software.
Network and Connectivity Support
Coordinates with the Corporate IT Infrastructure team to install and support the local networking equipment: firewalls, switches, WiFi access points.
Supports users with all their local connectivity needs, including fax machines, printers, and other output devices.
Server Support
Maintains, installs, configures, and supports Windows Server Operation Systems (2012 R2, 2016, 2019).
Uses Active Directory to automate settings and changes to end user computers, including printers, drive mappings and desktop configurations. Phone System Support
Performs handset moves, adds, and changes.
Administration of the IP phone systems with assistance from Corporate IT and local consultants.
Project Management
Responsible for all aspects of office moves, including phone system and network services and configuration, security systems (entry areas and video systems).
Responsible for hardware and software upgrades.
Maintains operability of hardware and software, including servers, networking equipment, computers, and phone systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Valid driver's license.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Preferred:
Master's Degree in MIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Required:
Three (3) years of work experience in IT environments as a systems analyst, computer support specialist, network administrator, programmer, phone system support and/or other information technology professional.
Experience with WAN, LAN, and WLAN technologies.
Experience with Microsoft, networks, and WiFi.
Experience Preferred:
Systems: Microsoft Server 2003 and 2008, Windows 7, MSSQL, Microsoft Office, Kaseya, Dell, HP, phone systems.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with local staff and others within and outside the organization.
Extensive knowledge of installation, configuration, and management of Operating Systems (workstations and servers) and productivity and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office 2016, 2019, Office 365, and Teams).
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to learn and support proprietary applications.
Must be self-motivated.
Familiarity with Citrix or similar Remote Desktop technologies.
Understanding of VoIP technologies.
Demonstrated ability to identify and understand problems and to determine the appropriate measures to solve problems.
Ability to maintain a variety of complex records and to prepare reports.
Travel requirement between local properties (as a percent): 50%.
Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent): <5%.

Must be able to access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary hook up and repairs.
Must be able to travel for company trainings, meetings, or support missions.
Position requires individual to be able to travel frequently to company locations within the Boston area. Individual must be willing to work in a fast-paced, occasionally stressful environment. The operations of Transdev are 24 hours per day X 7 days per week so occasional evening, weekend and holiday work may also be required to meet deadlines or meet support needs. Position will also require individual to be on-call 24 hours per day.
