Summary

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is a hands-on, technically strong engineer responsible for
the day-to-day operation, administration, and continuous improvement of ANI's core IT
infrastructure and end-user computing environment. The role spans enterprise networking,
Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint and mobile device management, server administration
(including backup and recovery), and meeting-room / audio-video technology.
A key dimension of this role is providing white-glove, executive-level support for leadership enduser equipment and boardroom technology, ensuring senior stakeholders and business-critical
operations experience minimal friction. The successful candidate combines deep technical
breadth with excellent communication skills, operating within a regulated pharmaceutical
environment where stability, security, and compliance (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, SOX ITGC) are
paramount.
Responsibilities
Network Engineering: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network devices
(routers, switches, wireless) across LAN, WLAN, and WAN; support VPN, DNS/DHCP,
VLAN segmentation, and site connectivity.
Microsoft 365 Administration: Administer the M365 tenant including Exchange Online,
Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), licensing, and security/compliance
configurations.
Endpoint & Mobile Device Management: Manage device enrollment, provisioning,
compliance, and security using Microsoft Intune and other MDM solutions for corporateowned and BYOD workstations and mobile devices; enforce conditional access and remote
wipe.
Server Administration: Administer Windows (and where applicable Linux) servers,
including patching, monitoring, performance tuning, Active Directory, file/print services, and
virtualization.
Backup & Recovery: Own backup operations, restore testing, and disaster-recovery
readiness; ensure data protection, retention, and recoverability aligned with business
continuity requirements.
Audio-Video & Meeting Room Technology: Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot AV and

video-conferencing equipment (Teams Rooms, boardroom systems, displays, and

townhall/event AV).
Executive & End-User Support: Provide priority, white-glove support for executive end-

user equipment, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals; act as an escalation point for

complex end-user incidents.
Compliance & Governance: Follow change-management (CAB), CSV/GxP change

control, and IT general controls; support internal, external, and regulatory audits with

evidence and documentation.
Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, run-books, and knowledge-base articles;

contribute to automation and shift-left initiatives.
Manages people: No (individual contributor; may mentor junior engineers and coordinate

vendor/MSP resources).
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Skills
Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco network devices and core networking concepts

(routing, switching, VLANs, wireless, VPN).
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra

ID) and endpoint management via Microsoft Intune / MDM platforms.
Solid server administration skills (Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization) with

proven backup and recovery / disaster-recovery experience.
Practical experience troubleshooting audio-video and video-conferencing equipment in

meeting and executive spaces.
Demonstrated ability to deliver calm, professional, executive-level end-user support under

pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (a must) - able to explain technical

issues clearly to non-technical and senior stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and customer-service orientation; self-directed and

detail-oriented.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related

field (or equivalent experience).
5-8 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure / systems engineering roles.
Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft 365 Certified (Modern Desktop /

Endpoint Administrator), Azure/Entra, or equivalent.
Preferred (nice to have): prior experience in the pharmaceutical / life-sciences or other

regulated (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, SOX) industry.
Excellent communication skills are mandatory for this role.
Travel: up to 10-15% may be required for site/AV support and new-site build-outs.

Physical Requirements
Hybrid role with required on-site presence for executive support, AV/meeting-room, and

server/network hardware work.
Ability to lift and handle IT equipment (e.g., workstations, AV devices, up to ~20 kg) and

perform tasks involving cabling, racks, and under-desk setups.
