Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with strong Scrum Master capabilities for our Healthcare client to lead large-scale healthcare technology initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing cross-functional teams, driving Agile delivery, and navigating the regulatory and operational complexities of the healthcare domain. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, engineering, product, compliance, and vendor teams while ensuring predictable and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise healthcare IT projects (applications, integrations, data platforms, digital transformation initiatives).
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, and resource plans.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and dependencies across teams.
- Track project financials, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
- Communicate status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and decision making.
Scrum Master & Agile Leadership
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach teams on Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability.
- Remove impediments and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Support product owners with backlog prioritization and refinement.
- Track velocity, sprint metrics, and release readiness.
- Guide teams transitioning from Waterfall to Agile when needed.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in project/program management.
- 5+ years serving as Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead.
- Strong experience in the healthcare industry (payer, provider, or healthtech).
- Demonstrated success delivering large enterprise implementations.
- Experience managing distributed and offshore teams.
- Hands-on knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools.
- Local to Los Angeles area and able to work onsite in Woodland Hills 3 days/week.
