Footwear Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Beavertom, OR that is seeking a Footwear Test Engineer with strong problem solving, results orientation, and multi-tasking skills who will support testing for soccer footwear.

Responsibilities:
* Complete standard materials and mechanical tests, review and analyze data, and write reports and communicate the results to the teams
* Assist more senior engineers on testing related projects, consult and train others in your area of expertise, and help identify changes in protocols or equipment within the lab to improve accuracy and efficiency
* Work with product creation teams to ensure the quality of footwear products

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
* 2+ years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design
* Strong written and oral communication skill with an ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audience required.
* Experience with product and materials testing is required.
* Experience with statistical analysis of data required
* Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD would be a plus
* Prior footwear testing experience
* Statistical analysis of data
* Experience with Instron testing machines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
