Job Title: Salesforce Commerce Cloud Tech Lead (B2C/B2B)
Location: Remote USA – Preference near Plano, TX or Santa Clara, CA
Position: 12-Month+ Contract
Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Lead. This is a 12-month remote contract, ideally in DFW area Texas or near Santa Clara, CA. Must be located in the United States and be able to come onsite for key meetings, as needed.
- The Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Lead will provide hands-on technical leadership within a large-scale digital commerce transformation for a pharmaceutical client.
- The Tech Lead will play a hands-on role in implementing Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) solutions, supporting the decoupling of the commerce environment and enabling a modern order management ecosystem integrated with SAP and OMS platforms.
- This role will partner closely with Solution and Technical Architects while leading day-to-day development activities across the commerce platform.
- The Technical Lead will involve:
- Hands-on coding and development
- Leading day-to-day delivery
- Translating architecture into execution
- Guiding developers and enforcing standards
- Participating in design
- Acting as a bridge between architecture, development, and business teams
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud development.
- Prior Salesforce commerce experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience supporting B2B and B2C commerce implementations, including storefront/retail and business buyer development.
- Solid understanding of headless/decoupled commerce architectures.
- Experience working with integrations to SAP and OMS platforms.
- Proficiency in SFCC development tools and frameworks (ISML, controllers, pipelines, OCAPI, SCAPI).
- Experience leveraging Salesforce Einstein for AI-driven personalization, predictive recommendations, and search optimization within Commerce Cloud (nice to have).
- Experience leading small to mid-sized development teams, including offshore resources.
- Strong understanding of order capture, checkout flows, and commerce operations.
- Familiarity with customer engagement, loyalty, and personalization features.
- Ability to translate technical designs into actionable development tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a client-facing team environment.

- Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer (Demandware)
- Salesforce Certified B2B Commerce Developer (CloudCraze)
- Salesforce Certified AI Associate (nice to have)
What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
- Lead day-to-day development activities for Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations.
- Collaborate with architects to implement scalable and high-performing commerce solutions.
- Support the build of B2B and B2C storefronts, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
- Contribute to the decoupling of the commerce platform, supporting headless architecture initiatives.
- Develop and support integrations with SAP and OMS systems for order capture and fulfillment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to onshore and offshore development teams.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and production defects.
- Assist with release planning, deployments, and environment management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support customer engagement and loyalty features.
- Act as a bridge between architecture and development teams, ensuring smooth execution.
Compensation and Employment
The expected pay range for this position is $70 - $95 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
