Job Description: Sr IT Project Manager / Program Manager
Location: Milpitas, CA (4-5 days a week onsite)
Duration: 6 months
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior IT Project Manager / IT Program Manager to join the IT Program Management Office (PMO). This role reports to the Senior Director of IT Program Management and is responsible for leading large-scale, complex, cross-functional technology programs that enable strategic and operational priorities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate Entrepreneurial Program Management capabilities, including strong business acumen, ownership mindset, proactive risk leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments. This role plays a critical part in planning and executing enterprise initiatives, including ERP implementations and transformations.
Key Responsibilities – Project & Program Leadership & Delivery
- Lead large, complex, cross-functional IT projects or programs from initiation through close, ensuring alignment with business strategy, scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
- Plan and execute enterprise-scale ERP programs across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, HR, and IT
- Establish and maintain integrated program plans, dependency maps, critical paths, and milestone tracking across multiple workstreams and vendors
- Identify, assess, and manage program risks and issues, driving timely mitigation and escalation
Entrepreneurial Program Management
- Operate as an owner of program outcomes, balancing speed, quality, cost, and risk with a strong value-delivery mindset
- Demonstrate commercial and business acumen by connecting technology execution to measurable business outcomes and ROI
- Anticipate emerging risks and opportunities in ambiguous environments and make informed trade-offs with incomplete information
- Influence without authority, building commitment across executive sponsors, functional leaders, and delivery teams
- Continuously improve delivery models, governance practices, and execution velocity using data-driven insights
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for executive stakeholders with clear and transparent project or program reporting
- Establish and lead project or program governance forums including steering committees and executive reviews
- Partner closely with Business, IT, Finance, and external vendors to ensure alignment and sustained engagement
- Manage change impacts to support communication clarity and organizational adoption
Financial & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking
- Oversee project or program vendor and system integrator performance, contracts, and deliverables
- Ensure project or program effective resource planning and capacity management across internal and external teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 8–12+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex IT project or programs in global, matrixed environments
- Proven experience delivering ERP implementations or transformations
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or industrial technology environments
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar certification
- Experience supporting digital transformation or cloud initiatives
- Cross functional business process knowledge
