Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Responsible for elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
• Research and exploration of user requirements, costs, and benefits in support of documentation required for the demand management process.
• Responsible for analyzing the business needs to identify new processes and process improvements that will meet those needs.
• Documents current business processes and models to define requirements and/or gaps.
• Analyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and paper flow, hardware, and software needs.
• Analyze “soft" system factors including roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc.
• Evaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization.
• Develop and facilitate groups as necessary in pursuit of eliciting and defining requirements.
• Assist in the creation of the business case documentation.
• Understanding of architectural consistency and usability standards.
• Defines and develops user test cases and validates test results during testing.
• Executes unit and functional test cases.
• May conduct system demonstrations and training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content.
• Plays a third level support role by helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues with production systems.
• Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or another related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience leading data migration requirements from legacy systems into a new ERP (Sage X3) environment
• Strong hands-on expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management, with emphasis on data mapping, transformation rules, and validation
• Deep understanding of data structures, data quality, and migration best practices, with the ability to identify gaps and risks early
• Self-driven and accountable professional with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to drive outcomes with minimal oversight
• Working knowledge of Confluence and JIRA.
• Experience in any of the following business areas is desired: Sales operations, order entry, accounting, finance, procurement, warehouse operations, order management, and order fulfillment.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ business analysis or systems analysis experience is preferred.
• Bonus: Sage X3 experience (ERP).

• Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, processes, and procedures.

Job Title: IT Services Management Consultant

Location: Montreal, QC

Duration: 12 Months

 

As an IT Monitoring Consultant, you will provide advice and support to dedicated clients and partners on various projects within your field. You will develop tools, methods, and work processes. The nature of the files and projects requires comprehensive knowledge in your area of expertise.

You will propose recommendations, solutions, and action plans in line with the organization's directions and objectives. You will contribute ideas. You will help solve problems through analysis and your comprehensive knowledge of the business area. You will be required to interact with stakeholders working in complementary fields. Strong interpersonal skills are therefore essential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support for monitoring and logging environments (Dyntrace and Splunk) and ensure the health, availability and performance of the environment;
  • Create and maintain documentation related to the environment and configurations;
  • Create dashboards, scripts, monitoring scenarios and configurations based on projects and requests from users and partners.
  • To act as a technical resource for modelling, simulation and analysis efforts;
  • Leveraging industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution;
  • Ensure that quality, safety and compliance requirements are met for the area under care;
  • Establish and maintain strong and professional working relationships with peers in the project management, development, business, and management sectors;
  • Working on the deployment of production releases and application support.

 

Requirements and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field;
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience, including two years with Dynatrace and/or Splunk;
  • Experience in the field of technological infrastructure and IT monitoring in multi-platform environments;
  • Experience in event management and/or correlation with tools such as: ServiceNow ITOM, Dynatrace;
  • Experience in monitoring *nix servers (AIX, Redhat Linux, Solaris) and Windows Server;
  • Experience with an ITSM tool (ServiceNow) (an asset);
  • ITIL Certification: Incidents, Changes, Problems, Events (an asset);

 

Specific knowledge

  • Dynatrace monitoring: Synthetic, RUM, OneAgent, Extensions, Dashboards
  • Knowledge of the various modules specific to Splunk logging: Data ingestion, alerts, dashboards
  • Knowledge of web protocols and standards: HTTP, REST, JSON
  • Experience in scripting and development tools (Python, Javascript, Typescript, GitHub, VSCode)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure tools: Ansible/Tower, Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, Citrix, Web technologies, Hypervisor (KVM, VMware, etc.) (an asset);
  • Knowledge of concepts for enterprise middleware applications (Oracle/MS SQL/DB2 databases, IIS/Apache web servers, proxies, distributed services) (an asset)
