Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Responsible for elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
• Research and exploration of user requirements, costs, and benefits in support of documentation required for the demand management process.
• Responsible for analyzing the business needs to identify new processes and process improvements that will meet those needs.
• Documents current business processes and models to define requirements and/or gaps.
• Analyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and paper flow, hardware, and software needs.
• Analyze “soft" system factors including roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc.
• Evaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization.
• Develop and facilitate groups as necessary in pursuit of eliciting and defining requirements.
• Assist in the creation of the business case documentation.
• Understanding of architectural consistency and usability standards.
• Defines and develops user test cases and validates test results during testing.
• Executes unit and functional test cases.
• May conduct system demonstrations and training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content.
• Plays a third level support role by helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues with production systems.
• Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or another related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience leading data migration requirements from legacy systems into a new ERP (Sage X3) environment
• Strong hands-on expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management, with emphasis on data mapping, transformation rules, and validation
• Deep understanding of data structures, data quality, and migration best practices, with the ability to identify gaps and risks early
• Self-driven and accountable professional with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to drive outcomes with minimal oversight
• Working knowledge of Confluence and JIRA.
• Experience in any of the following business areas is desired: Sales operations, order entry, accounting, finance, procurement, warehouse operations, order management, and order fulfillment.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ business analysis or systems analysis experience is preferred.
• Bonus: Sage X3 experience (ERP).

• Ability to learn new systems and tools
• Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, processes, and procedures.

Job Title: Senior Technology Infrastructure Analyst

Location: Montreal, QC

Description

A technology analyst mandate is carried out by specialists who support the DPTI teams in performing work aimed at, among other things:

  • The implementation and evolution of the technological infrastructure, both cloud-based and on- premises;
  • The deliverables resulting from this work must be consistent, optimized, and integrated. To achieve this, specialists, in close collaboration with teams from other sectors of the DPTI, will participate in and carry out various technological infrastructure activities.

 

Furthermore, in order to ensure the conformity of the products to the business orientations as well as the technological architecture, specialists from service providers will be called upon to support the various production teams.

 

The organization's focus is on leveraging its technological infrastructure in IaC (Infrastructure as Code).

 

More specifically, the tasks to be carried out are:

  • Infrastructure works execution.
  • Examples of activities to be carried out:
  • To carry out the evolution and updating of the technological infrastructure;
  • Accompany and participate in workshops with the product teams;
  • Participate in the implementation and operation of complex on-site and cloud-based technological environments;
  • To propose and implement solutions to the needs of the clientele served by the DPTI;
  • Implementing, within the framework of system development or software package implementation, different types of technological architectures to meet business needs;
  • Keep the architectural documentation up to date;
  • To propose and recommend solutions in line with best practices and market trends;
  • Carry out activities related to the transfer of knowledge and expertise;
  • Advise the IT organization;
  • Supporting the activities of the other components of the Framework Agreement;
  • Participate in the development of the AUTHORITY's technological infrastructure. Examples of deliverables to be produced:
  • Implementation plans.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Hold a college diploma in computer science or equivalent.
  • Possess at least 10 years of experience as a technology infrastructure analyst in a technology environment comparable to that of the organization;
  • Having completed at least 2 mandates in technological infrastructure of a scale of more than 500 person-days, in a technological environment comparable to that of the organization.
