Description
We are looking for a dedicated Service Technician to join our team in Akron, Ohio. In this role, you will specialize in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting video surveillance systems, alarms, access control systems, and other low-voltage technologies. Your work will contribute directly to ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair video surveillance systems, burglar alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to low-voltage wiring and security systems.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Adhere to industry standards and client specifications during all installations.
Document all work performed, including system configurations and maintenance activities.
Provide both on-site and remote technical support to address system concerns.
Work closely with team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in network cabling, cable installation, or related fields.
Proficiency in low-voltage systems, including fiber-optic and physical security setups.
Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
Knowledge of building security systems and access control technologies.
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Excellent communication skills for working with clients and team members.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
