We are seeking a Senior Citrix Engineer with extensive experience designing, administering, and migrating large-scale Citrix environments. This role will lead the migration of a complex enterprise Citrix infrastructure to VMware while ensuring high availability, security, and minimal disruption to business operations.

The successful candidate is a hands-on senior engineer who has led enterprise Citrix migrations in complex environments, understands large-scale virtualization architectures, and can execute critical migration activities with minimal business impact. Experience supporting highly available environments serving thousands of users is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment, planning, design, and execution of enterprise Citrix migration initiatives.
• Migrate Citrix servers and supporting infrastructure to VMware with minimal downtime.
• Design and support highly available Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
• Administer Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway, Provisioning Services (PVS), and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Engineer and optimize VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, and virtual infrastructure.
• Perform environment assessments, capacity planning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Develop migration runbooks, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and technical documentation.
• Partner with infrastructure, networking, storage, security, and application teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during project execution.
• Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and after-hours migration activities as needed.

Required Skills

• 8 10+ years of enterprise Citrix engineering experience.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale Citrix infrastructure migrations to VMware.
• Expert-level experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
• Strong VMware expertise, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual infrastructure design.
• Extensive Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, networking, and storage technologies.
• Experience with PowerShell automation and scripting.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V) or Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V)
