Summary

Java Architect Finance

We have an immediate need for a Java Architect with our client in either Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ. This position will lead the modernization of legacy payments applications into modern Java-based microservices and cloud-native architectures. The architect will define solution designs, evaluate system impacts, and guide enterprise-level architecture decisions while working closely with business stakeholders, senior leadership, and delivery teams.

This role is highly strategic and not hands-on coding, but requires a strong development background and deep expertise in microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native application design (AWS preferred).

Among other skills and experience, candidates must have significant experience designing high-throughput, low-latency systems using microservices, containers, distributed databases, and Kafka. Strong knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD), integration patterns, and architecture governance is required.

Experience with OpenShift and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is also expected.
