Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead practical, day-to-day project delivery in New Jersey. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, keeps multiple moving parts aligned, and drives work from kickoff through final completion. The role will partner closely with internal teams, field personnel, vendors, and clients to maintain momentum, communicate progress clearly, and resolve issues before they affect delivery.
Responsibilities:
Lead projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables remain on track from initiation to closeout.
Coordinate daily activities among internal stakeholders, field teams, and external vendors to keep work progressing smoothly across locations.
Build, maintain, and update project plans, schedules, milestone tracking, and task dependencies to support consistent execution.
Provide regular client-facing updates, including status reporting, progress summaries, and communication around upcoming activities.
Monitor project risks, surface emerging issues early, and drive timely resolution to minimize impact on scope, timing, and quality.
Oversee execution details for infrastructure-related initiatives, ensuring operational needs and site-level requirements are addressed.
Facilitate collaboration across multi-site efforts by aligning resources, priorities, and vendor deliverables with project expectations.
Maintain clear project documentation and follow-through on action items to support accountability and successful delivery.
Requirements
5+ years of experience managing projects in a hands-on delivery role with direct responsibility for execution.
Demonstrated background in IT project management, including ownership of project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
Experience supporting infrastructure projects with coordination across technical teams, field operations, and third-party vendors.
Strong ability to manage day-to-day project details while balancing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
Proven success working in environments that require multi-site coordination and consistent communication across distributed resources.
PMP certification is required.
Excellent client communication, status reporting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on practical execution.
