RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mainframe Programmer in Westlake, TX.
Summary:
As a part of this team, you will have an opportunity to use your skills and knowledge to contribute to the team's success through analysis, design, development, and delivery. In this role you will develop an understanding of the business domain to enable you to participate in discussions, planning, and provide feedback to drive the team and product forward. You will have proven ability to focus on strong technical experience to ensure software product development is delivered on time and of the highest quality. You will cultivate partnership and a spirit of collaboration among team members and business partners while conveying a sense of urgency and responsiveness to meet business needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or other Technology related degree
* Minimum 3 - 5 years of related technology experience
* Experience in Mainframe (JCL, COBOL, VSAM, DB2, CICS) mandatory
* Experience in the development and deployment of Batch and CICS applications
* Agile environment work experience
* Good understanding on the usage of mainframe tools - ENDEVOR, FILE-AID, ABEND-AID, CONTROL-M
* Ability to take up new challenges and explore new technology/tools
* Strong communication skills
* Proven ability to work in a high paced, dynamic, and culturally diverse environment
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
* High level of dedication, initiative, and passion
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
