Summary

Location: Mahwah, NJ
Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $55.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Principal Engineer, Software Engineering for a 3 month + contract.

The position title is UX/UI Designer

In your role, you will work with a lead designer to execute User Interface Design activities for mobile and web applications. Must be familiar with utilizing design systems. Must have experience working in cross functional teams including portfolio marketing and software developers.

Technical Skills:

Fundamental knowledge and understanding of UX/UI design practices and tools, and design principles.

Basic knowledge of design and concept generation

Basic knowledge of Figma prototyping

Basic knowledge of software development process and tools

Preferred Skills / Design tools:

Understanding of design thinking framework and methods.

Strong competence with design and prototyping with Figma

Competence in oral, written, and visual communication skills

Experience in design research and user testing.

Experience in the medical field is a plus but not required.

3-5 years of experience

Although this is a software engineering job category, this is not an engineering position. A UX/UI designer is sometimes called an Interaction Designer (Ixd)
