Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its Infrastructure Engineering organization. This function designs, builds, enhances, and integrates the technology infrastructure that supports enterprise platforms and the broader business portfolio. The role focuses on product upgrades, middleware support, application and web stability, operational risk management, and cross-team collaboration within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Outline, plan, and implement product upgrades across supported infrastructure components.
- Analyze business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements to inform design and implementation decisions.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development practices.
- Lead or contribute to high-level technical concepts that span both technology and business domains.
- Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems and participate in solution design and testing.
- Produce documentation, operational policies, and procedures to support ongoing operations.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Grafana to support business application and operations teams.
- Support testing activities for business, application, and infrastructure requirements.
- Direct daily risk and control activities, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Provision builds, configurations, and runtime infrastructure for middleware products.
- Oversee operational risk and control processes to ensure security, reliability, monitoring, and support standards are met.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve operational goals.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support enterprise incidents, focusing on application and web stability.
Required Qualifications- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, including leadership.
- Strong team leadership or technical leadership experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent through work experience, training, military service, or education.
- 3+ years of experience with middleware technologies, including Apache HTTPD and Apache Tomcat.
- 2+ years of application production support on Linux and Windows platforms.
- 2+ years of strong technical troubleshooting experience across application and infrastructure layers.
- 2+ years of experience with monitoring tools, such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- 2+ years of root cause analysis experience.
- 2+ years of Ansible experience.
- 2+ years of Python scripting experience.
- Working knowledge of web server administration.
- Basic application server and application troubleshooting skills (Java and .NET).
Desired Qualifications- Experience producing technical documentation.
- Strong team or technical leadership background.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level environments.
- Understanding of compliance and risk-management requirements for supported systems.
- Experience providing implementation support for key risk initiatives.
- Experience with WebSphere, WebSphere Liberty, or WebLogic.
- Familiarity with incident management systems (ServiceNow preferred).
- Experience monitoring alerts, batch failures, and managing ServiceNow queues.
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies including Linux, Windows, middleware, and databases.
- Ability to handle outage calls, triage issues, and drive resolution.
- Experience with Ansible and uDeploy.
- Experience troubleshooting job failures and related operational issues.
- Proficiency with shell commands and Linux administration basics.
- Understanding of basic networking commands and networking topology.
- Familiarity with load balancers such as F5.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic HTTP failures and Java application server issues.
