### Job Summary Thinking Minds' client is seeking an AI Engineer focused on the infrastructure that supports practical AI applications in insurance underwriting and operations. You will help deploy, operate, and secure systems while also contributing to application development and data workflows. Working directly with underwriters and operations colleagues, you will adapt existing solutions and build new capabilities where current tools do not meet business needs. Senior AI engineers will review your work and provide guidance as you develop your technical judgment and understanding of insurance.

### Key Responsibilities
Deploy, run, and secure the infrastructure supporting AI applications, with attention to security and compliance standards.
Develop and adapt tools for submission ingestion, underwriting workbenches, risk analysis, and back- and middle-office automation.
Build and maintain data pipelines and system integrations using Python and SQL where appropriate.
Support reliable operations through monitoring, testing, and reliability controls for applications or models.
Contribute to containerized or automated deployments using approaches such as Docker or a CI/CD pipeline.
Translate feedback from underwriters and operations staff into practical improvements.
### Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field.
Strong Python skills and working knowledge of SQL.
Comfort with Linux, the command line, and at least one major cloud platform.
Demonstrable independently built work involving cloud deployment and operation, data pipelines, system integrations, reliability controls, or deployment automation; internships and co-ops are relevant experience.
### Preferred Qualifications
A GitHub portfolio or other demonstrable project work showing thoughtful implementation decisions.
Experience connecting infrastructure reliability with application and data requirements.
Interest in insurance workflows and secure, maintainable business automation.
