Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Material Master Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Material Master data, configuration, governance, and business processes. The consultant will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure accurate, standardized, and compliant material master data across SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support SAP Material Master processes across business functions.
• Create, maintain, and extend material master records across relevant SAP plants, storage locations, and organizational levels.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP Material Master solutions.
• Define and maintain material master data standards, naming conventions, and governance rules.
• Support material creation, extension, modification, blocking, and deletion processes.
• Work with business teams to gather requirements for material master data and identify data-quality issues.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, enrichment, and duplicate-material analysis.
• Support material master data migration activities during SAP ECC and S/4HANA implementations and rollouts.
• Develop and maintain material master templates and data-migration specifications.
• Work with MM, PP, SD, WM/EWM, FI, and other SAP modules to ensure proper integration of material data.
• Support integration between SAP Material Master and external systems.
• Troubleshoot material master-related issues and provide root-cause analysis.
• Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Prepare functional specifications and work with technical teams on enhancements and interfaces.
• Support SAP releases, upgrades, deployments, cutover, and hypercare activities.
• Develop process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Ensure material master processes comply with company data governance and business standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Material Master.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM and material master data processes.
• Experience with material master views, fields, organizational levels, and material types.
• Understanding of Material Types, Material Groups, Units of Measure, Purchasing, MRP, Accounting, Sales, and Plant data.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong understanding of integration with SAP PP, SD, WM/EWM, and FI.
• Experience with data migration, data cleansing, and data validation.
• Strong knowledge of SAP master data governance and data-quality practices.
• Experience preparing functional specifications and supporting development teams.
• Strong SQL/data-analysis skills are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Material Master.
• Experience with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance).
• Knowledge of SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, BAPI, IDoc, and interfaces.
• Experience with large-scale SAP implementations, rollouts, or transformations.
• Experience with SAP Fiori.
• Knowledge of Material Master data governance and standardization.
• Experience supporting global organizations and multiple business units.
