About the RoleWe are seeking a
Senior / Lead-level SQL Server Developer with Tableau experience to support Regulatory and Policy Updates within a high-visibility enterprise platform. This role supports a
greenfield policy governance application built entirely in-house within the last four years. The platform is actively evolving, with new capabilities being designed and delivered through Agile Scrum development.
This is a
hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise. While the position operates at a Lead technical level, it
does not include people management, work assignment, or team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server-based data solutions supporting a high user-activity application
- Build and enhance database objects including tables, views, complex stored procedures, and user-defined functions
- Perform SQL performance tuning and query optimization
- Develop and maintain Tableau reports and dashboards for business and regulatory stakeholders
- Contribute to Agile Scrum development for a growing policy governance platform
- Support regulatory, audit, and policy-driven initiatives (RAPU)
- Collaborate closely with engineering and business partners in an onsite environment
Note: Contractors are
not typically required to support overnight product releases except in extraordinary circumstances.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (mandatory; no substitution with Oracle or other databases)
- 7+ years developing database objects (tables, views, complex stored procedures, UDFs)
- 5+ years of SQL query performance tuning and optimization
- 2+ years of Tableau report development
- 5+ years of data modeling and database design
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to performance, scalability, and data integrity
- Ability to work onsite in Uptown Charlotte on a hybrid schedule
Nice to Have- 3+ years of Agile/Scrum development experience
- Python background (may provide limited exposure to AI-related work, though not guaranteed)
