Application System Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Application System Analyst in Chicago, IL.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Application Systems Analyst to support the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of business applications and technology solutions. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring application systems effectively support organizational goals and operational needs. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance business performance and user experience.

What You'll Do:
* Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements for new applications, enhancements, and system upgrades
* Design application solutions, including system workflows, data models, user interfaces, and integrations with other platforms
* Collaborate with developers, project managers, business leaders, and technical teams throughout the application development lifecycle
* Support the implementation, configuration, and deployment of application systems
* Develop and execute testing strategies to validate system functionality, performance, and business requirements
* Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support to end users and stakeholders
* Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, process flows, and system specifications
* Monitor application performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and usability
* Lead small to medium-sized projects and contribute to larger enterprise initiatives
* Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices and system analysis methodologies
* Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and application development best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
* 3+ years of experience in application systems analysis, business systems analysis, software implementation, or a related field
* Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
* Experience working with software applications, system integrations, and enterprise business processes
* Experience supporting application testing, validation, and deployment activities
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development environments
* Experience with data analysis, reporting, or database technologies
* Experience creating process diagrams, workflows, and system documentation
* Experience leading projects, workstreams, or cross-functional initiatives
* Knowledge of application lifecycle management and software development methodologies
* Familiarity with enterprise applications, cloud technologies, or system integration platforms

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
