Sr. Creative Strategist

Description

We are looking for a Sr. Creative Strategist to shape high-performing paid social concepts for a fast-growing beauty brand in Los Angeles, California. This role connects audience insights, platform trends, and performance results to develop compelling creative across key acquisition channels. The ideal candidate brings strong storytelling instincts, a test-and-learn mindset, and the ability to guide creative production while contributing hands-on edits when needed.

Responsibilities:

Build a paid social creative roadmap for channels such as Meta and TikTok using campaign data, audience behavior, and product messaging insights.

Develop a consistent flow of new advertising ideas, including video angles, opening hooks, copy concepts, static layouts, and carousel structures tailored to platform best practices.

Prepare clear, actionable briefs for creators, designers, and editors that outline the strategic objective, messaging direction, visual approach, and technical requirements.

Produce light creative updates independently by refining short-form footage, adjusting captions, refreshing copy, and assembling rapid-test assets for campaign experimentation.

Oversee the movement of creative work from concept to final delivery, partnering with freelance talent and ensuring assets are completed on time for paid media activation.

Review performance results on a regular basis to identify successful patterns, optimize existing concepts, and surface new testing opportunities.

Monitor emerging content trends, competitor activity, and shifts within the beauty category to keep the creative pipeline relevant and effective.

Apply AI-powered tools to speed up ideation, draft scripts, refine messaging, and support efficient asset creation during development cycles.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing creative, paid social advertising, or a closely related field.
Strong knowledge of paid social platforms, especially Meta and TikTok, with a clear understanding of what drives engagement and conversion on each.
Demonstrated success creating or directing paid social campaigns supported by portfolio examples and measurable business impact.
Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to turn broad ideas into structured creative direction and persuasive copy.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, contributors, and deadlines in a fast-paced marketing environment.
Hands-on familiarity with lightweight creative tools such as CapCut, Figma, Adobe Express, or similar platforms.
Practical experience using AI tools as part of the day-to-day creative process to improve speed, iteration, and output quality.
Bachelor's degree required.
