TIBCO Developer

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (Remote)

Role Overview

This position is centered on API development, involving the design, implementation, and support of a TIBCO Enterprise Service Bus & API Management platform. The role requires the ability to create conceptual end-to-end integration deliverables and technical specification documents. The successful candidate will analyze, code, test, and implement solutions in coordination with management and end-users, following the Enterprise SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement integration services using TIBCO BW (6/10x) and TIBCO EMS.
• Implement API Gateway solutions such as Layer 7 or Apigee.
• Candidates need to be able to design a REST API in BW6 on an interview.
• Perform gap analysis of new requirements and document solution options, including change descriptions, impact analysis, and effort estimates.
• Investigate and resolve issues or bugs, providing support to the project team and Application Business Analysts.
• Develop functional mappings from specifications and translate source/target schemas into transformation logic.
• Assist the Operations Team with resolving production escalations as needed.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive system testing plans.
• Utilize end-user feedback to develop system enhancements and determine solutions for business needs.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

• TIBCO BW (6/10x)
• API Gateway (e.g., Layer 7 / Apigee)
• TIBCO EMS
• Integration technologies: XML/XSD, JSON, REST/SOAP; messaging (JMS/EMS)
• SDLC & Ops: Git, CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Artifactory repositories), environment configuration, packaging/deployment, logging/monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Security Patterns: MTLS, OAUTH 2.0

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Splunk.
• Knowledge of logging and exception handling tools (e.g., njams).
