SAP PP / Variant Configuration Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Configure and support SAP PP modules including Material Master, BOM, Work Centers, Routing, Demand Management, MRP/MRP Live, Capacity Planning, Production Orders, and Repetitive Manufacturing.
• Design and implement end-to-end manufacturing planning solutions aligned with semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing processes.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications (FS) and WRICEF objects.
• Optimize MRP performance, planning strategies, and lead times.
• Support shop floor operations including production order confirmations and variance analysis.
• Troubleshoot production planning issues and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including MM, WM/EWM, SD, QM, PM, and FI/CO.
• Support integrations with MES systems, PLM tools, and third-party planning applications.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects including greenfield and brownfield implementations.
• Provide L2/L3 production support including incident resolution and change management.
• Prepare and execute unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
• Develop user training materials and conduct workshops for business users.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, audit requirements, and IT governance standards.

Required Skills And Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP PP configuration and support.
• Proven experience with Variant Configuration.
• In-depth knowledge of MRP, production orders, and capacity planning.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing environments, preferably semiconductor or high-tech industries.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes.
• Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA PP.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Demand Driven MRP (DDMRP).
• Exposure to advanced planning tools such as PP/DS or APO.
• Knowledge of MES integrations in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Basic ABAP debugging skills for functional troubleshooting.
• Experience working in global manufacturing environments.
• SAP PP certification preferred.
