Description: Senior Business Systems Analyst Long Term Contract 07/2026 - 12/2027 Ann Arbor, MI (Hybrid) OVERVIEW Client is executing a high-priority enterprise LMS integration initiative within its Academic Medical Center (AMC). The project is consolidating multiple regional Learning Management Systems into a centralized enterprise LMS and integrating learning data across HR systems, identity/access management, and Epic/MiChart clinical platforms.
This role is the
lead Business Systems Analyst supporting the program and will drive requirements, integration design coordination, future-state definition, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
This initiative is tied to a broader healthcare transformation effort with a hard delivery timeline aligned with a late 2027 completion target , supporting an
early 2028 enterprise medical system go-live.
WHAT THE CLIENT REALLY NEEDS (CRITICAL CONTEXT) This is NOT a documentation-only BA role.
This is a
lead integration-facing Business Systems Analyst responsible for:
- Driving current-state / future-state analysis across multiple LMS platforms
- Defining integration requirements across LMS, HRIS, IAM, and reporting systems
- Partnering with technical architects and developers on solution design
- Supporting testing strategy (SIT/UAT) and defect resolution
- Coordinating vendors and enterprise stakeholders
- Helping guide integration decisions in a highly complex environment
Strong
technical acumen is required.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead requirements elicitation and documentation for LMS integration initiatives
- Drive current-state and future-state process mapping across enterprise systems
- Define integration requirements across LMS, HRIS, IAM, and reporting platforms
- Partner with architects and technical teams on scalable integration design
- Lead or coordinate SIT/UAT testing strategy and execution support
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
- Serve as primary liaison between business, IT, and vendors
- Guide junior analysts and contribute to standards and best practices
MUST HAVE (TIER 1) - 8+ years as a Business Systems Analyst / Senior BA
- Experience leading enterprise requirements efforts
- Strong integration experience (cross-system environments)
- Current-state / future-state process design experience
- Data flow analysis and business process re-engineering
- SIT/UAT experience and defect resolution exposure
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
- Ability to operate in complex enterprise environments with minimal oversight
NICE TO HAVE (TIER 2) - LMS experience (highly preferred):
- Cornerstone / HealthStream / Workday Learning / SuccessFactors Learning
- HRIS experience (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
- Identity & Access Management (Okta, Azure AD, SSO, SCIM)
- Healthcare or academic medical center experience
- Compliance / training governance workflows
- Vendor management experience
