  • Recommend actions to control failures and prevent similar issues in the future.

  • Work with design engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to resolve product problems.

  • Read and review engineering drawings, GD&T, material specifications, tolerance stack-ups, and test reports.

  • Use warranty databases and analysis tools to identify repeated failures and quality issues.

  • Prepare technical reports, failure summaries, and recommendations for engineering teams and management.

  • Participate in technical discussions with suppliers to improve product quality.

  • Support continuous improvement activities to reduce warranty costs and improve product reliability.

  • Follow automotive quality processes and standards such as APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, and PFMEA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5–10 years of experience in automotive warranty analysis, product engineering, quality engineering, or failure analysis.

  • Good understanding of automotive mechanical systems and engineering principles.

  • Hands-on experience with component teardown, diagnostics, and failure analysis.

  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, materials, and product reliability.

  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and test reports.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and technical documentation skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering data analysis tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.

  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and field data analysis.

  • Experience with warranty systems and quality management tools.

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or statistical analysis.
