Kubernetes Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer provides advanced technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, and service reliability. This role is responsible for diagnosing complex system issues, improving operational processes, and supporting secure and highly available server and container hosting environments. The Kubernetes Platform Engineer collaborates with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud teams to ensure system stability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex infrastructure and platform issues.
• Coordinate technical working sessions with internal teams and external vendors to resolve critical system incidents.
• Review operational events and recommend improvements, automation opportunities, and enhanced operational procedures to improve system availability and performance.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least two of the following areas: Kubernetes, server hosting, virtual networking, network security, application security, or scripting/programming.
• Collaborate with enterprise operations, cybersecurity, networking, and cloud teams to support troubleshooting and solution development.
• Assess and report on vulnerabilities and risks within the virtual server and container hosting infrastructure.
• Support the development and execution of quality control checks to maintain service uptime and operational reliability.
• Assist in defining and monitoring operational metrics to measure infrastructure performance and service availability.

Required Technical Experience

Candidates must demonstrate experience with at least three of the following technologies:

• VMware (Broadcom) platforms such as vCenter and vSphere
• Omnissa (formerly VMware) platforms such as Workspace ONE or Horizon VDI
• Microsoft Windows Server and/or Linux server operating systems
• Dell or HPE blade and rack server hardware
• Kubernetes-based container platforms such as Tanzu, Docker, or similar technologies

Preferred Experience

• Configuration and management of Dell or Cisco chassis-based network and storage switches
