Job Duties:
Analyze data dimensions looking for inconsistencies, including but not limited to data schema, used/assigned datatypes, accuracy, consistency, conformity, completeness, validity, uniqueness, referential integrity and more. Develop data normalization and data cleansing rules in support of the dimensions above. Write basic SQL and interfacing to any popular SQL structured database.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
Have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a datarelated field like statistics, math, computer science, or business or you're willing to substitute relevant work experience for coursework
Are naturally detailoriented and comfortable following established steps and procedures
Have basic comfort with spreadsheets, databases, or simple query tools (even at a beginner level)
Can communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally
Don't need a lot of prior professional experience this is an entry point for people early in a data career
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
Studied something directly relevant like data science, statistics, or information systems (rather than just a related field)
Have any exposure at all to government, public sector, or criminal justice settings even an internship counts
Already have basic familiarity with a statistical or reporting tool beyond just Excel
Show early signs of curiosity about data trends, not just data entry
Pick up new systems and software quickly with minimal training
