Senior Network Project Manager

The role involves implementing network technology and planning for the installation of technology in a program management setting, delivering services for multiple work streams. Experience with network facility build-out is key, and data center migrations are a plus but not required.

The project manager will oversee planning, organizing, and motivating diverse project teams to deliver throughout all phases of the project. Experience in implementing new facilities and familiarity with the move/relocation of a facility is required.

The role involves overseeing the work of Business System Analysts and the IT Director. Familiarity with building a Network Build of Material (BOM) is preferred.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Oversee requirements gathering and review/acceptance by the IT Network team.
• Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive management, business management, project sponsors, and technology management.
• Lead and coordinate scoping, technical requirements gathering, estimating, and planning for single or multiple work streams.
• Set project goals consistent with technical objectives and the agency’s overall technology strategy.
• Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness.
• Facilitate resolution of technical issues.
• Track and communicate project progress from a schedule, cost, and risk perspective.
• Collaborate with Business Owners to support the deployment of technology attached to the network.
• Drive consistent project delivery through the entire project lifecycle.
• Adhere to DBHDS & VITA project management practices and governance requirements.

Strong budget and risk management skills are required to meet funding reporting and VITA oversight requirements.

Skills and Requirements

• Active PMP certification required with 10 years of experience as a project manager.
• Experience with IT Network Buildout (new Facility Build) is required.
• Experience managing multi-workstream projects is required.
• Experience engaging with Senior IT Leadership (CIO, CTO, etc.) is required.
• Agreement to obtain VITA PMDP qualification within 2 weeks of starting.
• Experience with Facility IT Project Management is highly desired.
• Experience with Data Center migrations is a plus.
